Wes McClelland isn't a stranger to the hard work and grit it takes to build a legacy. A longtime professional of the automotive industry, advertising and a former General Manager, Wes has spent a lifetime leading teams and growing businesses. Now, he’s returning to his music roots to share the stories that can only be told after decades of life lived.
Born and raised in Orange, Texas, he and his family now reside in Sugar Land, Texas. Wes brings a "Modern Traditionalist" sound to the country scene—rugged, honest, and deeply personal.
Wes McClelland isn't just a new voice in country music; he’s a seasoned storyteller returning to his first love with a lifetime of wisdom earned. After a twenty-five year successful business career—including a tenure as a General Manager for Chevrolet and a move into digital advertising—the Sugar Land-based singer-songwriter is stepping back into the spotlight.
In 2001, following the passing of his dad, Joe McClelland, Wes paused his musical aspirations to focus on supporting his family. Two decades later, that "restless heart" has found its way home. His music is a blend of authentic Texas roots and high-caliber Nashville production. Partnering with Dark Horse Recording and Grammy record producer Dave Hagen, Wes’ music aims for the heart, reflecting the clarity that comes from a life well-lived.
Wes McClelland’s debut single, "What I Know Now," serves as a powerful anthem of hindsight and redemption. It is a reflective song that explores the contrast between youthful ambition and the deep contentment found in the present.
Inspired by the 23-year gap between his early musical pursuits and today, the song captures the essence of Wes’ journey: the discovery that true fulfillment isn't found in the chase, but in the love and faith of family—specifically his wife, Michelle, and their son, Weston.
